Financial Investigations, Dispute
Resolution and Litigation Services |
Fraud
examinations, corporate internal investigations, settlement
negotiations,
depositions, court appearances and other legal, ethics, and dispute-related matters
often require interviewing numerous witnesses and analyzing and
presenting large quantities of technical information, all within rigid time constraints.
Jeff Moore, JE Moore's owner and principal consultant, takes
a lead role on these type assignments. With his
CPA (certified public accountant), CFF (certified in
financial forensics), CFE (certified fraud examiner) and
CIRA (certified insolvency and
restructuring advisor credentials), He understands
the subtleties of financial issues the way attorneys
understand nuances in the law.
Jeff may be
engaged by an attorney, the attorney's client, or
another party to provide investigative or litigation consulting services
involving a variety of ethics and legal issues. Sometimes,
he will begin the assignment as an expert consultant only, and
then later be designated as an expert witness. The
transition may occur, for example, when Jeff is
engaged to investigate a matter and then later is asked to present
his findings to a judge, arbitrator or mediator. Jeff, and
possibly other JE Moore associates may be
retained by plaintiffs or defendants in civil or criminal litigation
cases, or by corporate boards of directors, in-house
counsel, or executive management, under
custom-fit
solo or team consulting or
staff augmentation
arrangements:
